Hijackers Hate Receipts

Hijackers Hate Receipts

Last week we ended with the taste of victory. We had just identified a hijacker on our Amazon listing and we weren’t going down without a fight.

But hijacking was just the beginning.

Amazon wanted proof the other seller’s product wasn’t ours. I placed an order but the seller figured out who I was and canceled it. I tried again. Canceled again. So I asked a close friend from high school (thx Landon) who loved the berry to place the order.

It worked. The seller didn’t catch it. But it wasn’t fast enough for me. The whole thing took weeks and I couldn’t stop thinking about the customers who were getting duped.

Then we heard from miracle fruit growers in Australia. The same Swiss startup was copying them too. Their brand was called Ruby. This Swiss miss was stealing their identity while hijacking our business.

That’s when we acted. They filed a trademark infringement claim. We refiled our hijacking complaint. This time we had the receipts.

It had taken nearly 2months to get Amazon to stop the madness. From the day we first noticed something was off to the moment I logged in and saw only one name across every FBM ASIN: Sold and Shipped by Nature's Wild Berry.

What about the hijacker’s listings? They were gone without a trace.

We didn’t start this fight but we didn’t back down. And the win tasted even sweeter than expected.

More than anything I felt grateful. It could’ve been game over. But I knew if we wanted to build something real, this wouldn’t be the last time we were targeted.

Sure enough that day would come. But before it did I had to face the fallout I never saw coming. And that’s where we’ll pick up next week.

Now it’s time for this week’s flavor test.

I’ve never liked wheatgrass shots. Juliano actually enjoys them. He says I’m built for sweet and he’s built for bitter. I tried them when they got popular but it tasted like chewing grass.

Then we launched Nature’s Wild Berry and a whole new world opened up. If I could block the bitter, maybe I could revisit what I left behind.

So I asked Juliano to make me one with a squeeze of lemon. I coated my tongue with the berry for 30 seconds and braced myself.

But I didn’t need to. It didn’t taste like wheatgrass at all. It was smooth and surprisingly good. I did a double take all over again.

If you’ve sworn off wheatgrass this is the hack. You’ll feel like you’re drinking something new. Something you could actually enjoy.

If you want to try new things with Nature’s Wild Berry like saving money and want to experience it with all these pairings and more you’re in luck.
